Fairfield County's Largest Selection of The Finest Quality Lenses
The latest technological advances and the highest quality Eyeglass Lenses enhance vision while making
eyeglasses look and feel better.
Spectacle lenses have improved dramatically over the last few years, so that even strong prescriptions can be made thinner and more lightweight. New aspheric and lower base-curved lenses minimize the bulging, big-eyed look of farsighted prescriptions and the shrinking, small-eyed look of nearsighted prescriptions.

Single Vision
Single-vision lenses are designed for patients who need corrective vision for either Distance or Near vision. Lenses are available in a variety of materials, from the simplest lenses for minor prescriptions to ultra-thin and lightweight lenses for more significant prescriptions. We carry a wide range of prescriptions in-house, and can be made in as little as half an hour in some cases. |
Bifocals and Progressive Lenses are designed for patients who need corrective

vision for multiple focal points.
Bifocals
Bifocals are the tried-and-true traditional approach to corrective vision for patients looking for this type of solution. The majority of the lens is composed of a distance prescription, with near-vision segments inserted at the inner corners of each lens for comfortable reading. Bifocals are an excellent choice for a patient whose life has them looking back and forth from papers or computers to people or their surroundings, or who may not want to have to look over their reading glasses. |
Bifocals are available for fitting and measuring in-house, with some of the finest labs in the area creating and edging to the patient's and doctor's specifications.
Progressives
Progressive Lenses are also called no-line bifocals or variable focus lenses (VFL's). These are single lenses cut custom to each patient's prescription and eye measurements. Using a single lens removes the need for any inlays, meaning no lines distinguishing each prescription. These lenses provide clear vision at all distances with a smooth transition. They provide the most natural vision for people that need distance and near prescriptions. |

Sunglasses: Polarization & UV Protection
Sunglasses are an important part of everyone's eye health. The UV protection provided by sunglasses are key in ensuring your eyes remain unaffected by UV rays, harmful glare, and visual obstacles such as harsh light sources.
All sunglasses provide some degree of UV protection.
All of the sunglasses in our office are either 100% UV Protective, or Polarized.
But what's the difference?
It's important to start with an understanding of what glare is. When light strikes a surface, the particles scatter in every direction. Glare is the eye's perception of that scattered light, so instead of seeing the object, you see the "burst" of light waves and particles across all spectrums. That is why objects appear white, and your vision may be tinted white from the glare overall.

Non-Polarized Lenses are glasses with a tinted lens, and a UV-protection coating. The most harmful rays from light are prevented. The wearer's vision may appear darkened and/or tinted according to the color of the lens. Some glare, however, may still come through to the wearer's vision from the non-UV spectrum.
Polarized Lenses apply the same science and technology as above, but with a polarizing filter. This polarizing filter takes the light moving in multiple directions, and essentially applies vertical and/or horizontal window blinds to the vision. Light is only allowed through that matches the spaces between the blinds. Therefore, the whitening effects of glare are removed. Color can be seen more truly and crisply no matter how bright the wearer's environment. Additionally, the non-UV spectrum light is also reduced, allowing even less damage to the eye.
